Program Summer Semester 2017
At the focus this semester is, for example, the waste and pollution problem prevalent in our modern society. “Uni at City Hall” will take up this very current topic and offer insight into the problems on one hand and possible solutions to be found in the waste management process on the other. Furthermore, architect and RWTH alumna Marcella Hansch will present her project “Pacific Garbage Screening – Cleaning up the Oceans.” A platform anchored to the ocean floor is to collect plastic waste, which can then be used as a source of raw materials.
Several worthwhile activities are also planned in collaboration with the AStA Student Union this summer semester.
We sincerely hope that you will enjoy participating in all these varied RWTHextern events and are looking forward to also welcoming you to other events of well-established series, such as “Culture Lab,” “At the Focus,” or “Technology on Tour.”
These and many other exciting events are listed in the program brochure, which can be found at all the well-known places throughout the university and city.
